Hi, my name is Allisha Burnsworth.
This is my Story.
I am a Client building a rammed earth home.
About 10 years ago, my husband and I started dreaming about getting out of subdivision living in a house that was literally thrown together (It was new construction when we moved in). He told me about rammed earth - ok, so I freaked out about living in a mud house. LOL. We looked at different ways to build because my husband was convinced that there had to be a better way to build . . . and to live. He was sick of constantly fixing a NEW house. Now he's sick of fixing a house that is rotting only 20 years later. My husband is an engineer by trade - and really his entire thinking is engineering style . . . systematic, thorough, and precise. I really trust him on these topics. We loved rammed earth but read horror stories about it breaking down within years. My husband spent years researching this. By the way, we have now spent years of breathing in toxicity and slowing getting sick because of living in a home made with toxic chemicals. THEN he found Sirewall. I remember him saying, "I found the right rammed earth. Sirewall." I was skeptical so we started doing research on Sirewall. Eventually, we were 100% sold on their 'rammed earth magic'. It's actually not magic. It's deeply scientific and proven. NOW we are all in and would never, EVER build a different structure.
Our goal was not only to get out of the toxic subdivision housing but to incorporate our entire family's character, desires, and talents into the house we design. We wanted our home to live generations beyond us. So, we designed a home that represents our individuality, our closeness as a family, our love for nature, and our desire to be healthy.
I am so excited about it that I decided to make my passion a part of my career. I am experienced with going from 'client' to 'consultant'. I did it early in my professional career. I went from being a client of a multi-million dollar data conversion to being a consultant and leading the same type of projects. So, here I am now - going from client to consultant once again. When I believe in something, I JUMP IN. I am ALL IN on rammed earth structures. I want to help other clients have the same experience as we have had - where you can join me in saying,
"It was one of the best journeys of my entire life."
